St.Clair, Michigan, small town-- Vaudeville -1940's) :
Coming home from a trip, The Master was greeted at the gate of his plantation by his favorite
servant-Joe. "Good to see you, Joe. How was everything while I was gone?"
Fine, Sir, everything is just fine. Except your favorite hunting dog died."
"Why did he die?"
"He died cause he ate burnt horse meat".
"Well, How did the horses die?"
"They died when the barn burned down.
"Well how did the barn catch on fire?"
"The barn caught on fire from the sparks from the big house."
"How did the fire start in the big house?"
"It caught on fire from the candle on your Mother's casket."
"Why did Mother die?"
"She died of a heart attack when she heard that your wife had ran off with the preacher."
"But other than that, Sir, everything is just fine."
